The Classic 2100 is a flexible and fast autoclave. A sterilization cycle normally takes about: 35 minutes from the time the machine starts until the pressure has disappeared from the chamber. The sterilization temperature of 126°C is constant for 11 minutes. The Prestige Classic 2100 is designed so that the lid locks when the cycle is started, and it cannot be opened as long as there is still pressure in the chamber. The Prestige Classic 2100 comes with an instrument basket.

An autoclave works with water vapor under pressure (in this case 1.4 bar) and the combination between pressure and temperature means that the sterilization temperature does not need to be higher than 126°C
