Solid clip-in ball. Simply replace the original ball in your BCR with one of these, it's one of the easiest ways to change the look of your jewelry. This bullet is hollow.
We do not stamp our gold jewelery unless the customer specifically wishes so. This is due to the fact that when you stamp the ring, it becomes a bit flat (gold is soft and you have to press down properly to get the stamp in place) and that it is easy for dirt and bacteria to collect in the stamp tracks themselves, which then end up in your piercing. Unfortunately, you cannot stamp the ball.
We have a goldsmith who makes the jewelry by hand in our goldsmith's shop, if you want a gold stamp on your jewelry, write it in the message box at checkout.
All gold to be worked into jewelry must be alloyed (mixed) with other metals to obtain sufficient strength. Gold is available in several different carat levels, which indicate how much gold the gold alloy contains. 24 carat is 100% pure gold, 18 carat is 75% gold and 14 carat is 58.5% gold. The gold is also available in different colors, the most common being white gold and rose gold. Rose gold is by far the most common in Sweden and contains gold, silver and copper. The white gold contains gold, silver, copper and palladium.
In Sweden, all white and red gold that is produced is nickel-free, while it often contains nickel abroad. 18k gold works very well as piercing jewelry, only a few have reacted and only in cases where gold was used as jewelry when the piercing itself was performed.
Gold can be discolored and this depends on chemical and mechanical phenomena, among other things it is affected by sulphides and chlorides in skin secretions and sweat.
